The Original Mark of The Beast:
In John's original text, the Mark was NOT 666. It was changed to 666 at a later time. As a result, nobody knows what it is today.
Frankly, people accept that the Mark is 666 because they're too lazy to do the work.
Are you too lazy? It's easier to think up nonsense than to work. Want to know what it was then and what it is now? Want to know who the Beast is?
Nobody will recognize the Two Witnesses:
Nobody recognized the Christ and noboby will recognize the Two Witnesses.
People who looked for Christ did not like the one they got.
Today, people will hate the Two Witnesses for the same reason. We read this in Revelation 11:10.
